Dadongshan from Fenqihu (大凍山)

Trail description

A 4.3 km climb of about 560 m from the old railway village of Fenqihu on the Alishan line to the top of Dadongshan at 1,976 m, the highest point in Chiayi's Fenqihu area. The first part follows the mountain road to the trailhead, then long wooden stairs climb through cedar and bamboo forest. On clear mornings the summit looks out over a sea of clouds to Yushan.
