Dark View Falls St Vincent

Trail description

A short rainforest walk to Dark View Falls, a pair of waterfalls one above the other, inland from the Leeward Highway near Chateaubelair in the north-west of St Vincent. From the entrance car park the path crosses the Richmond River on a swaying bamboo footbridge and runs through a grove of giant bamboo to the lower fall, which has a viewing platform and a natural pool. Tall steps, some of them about 60 cm high, climb on to the upper fall. The pools are shallow in the drier months, the site closes at 5 pm and a small entrance fee is charged.
