Trail description
This rainforest trail follows the Barre de l'Isle ridge, which divides the eastern and western halves of Saint Lucia, starting midway along the Castries to Dennery road. The Forestry Department describes a trail of about an hour with four lookouts over Mount Gimie and the Cul de Sac and Mabouya valleys, plus an optional climb of Mount La Combe (438 m). A hiking fee is paid at the ranger hut, and a guide is recommended for identifying plants.
