Umuyove Trail

Trail description

A 5.2 km loop on the Umuyove Trail from the Uwinka visitor centre into the rainforest of Nyungwe National Park. The park, a forest reserve from 1933 and a national park since 2004, covers about 1,019 km² of rainforest, bamboo, grassland, swamps and bogs, with chimpanzees, colobus monkeys and more than 300 bird species.
