Dian Fossey Grave Karisoke

Trail description

A 1.9 km walk from the Volcanoes National Park trailhead to the site of the Karisoke Research Center between Mount Bisoke and Mount Karisimbi, where Dian Fossey is buried. Fossey founded the centre on 24 September 1967, naming it after the two volcanoes, and was buried in its grounds after her murder in December 1985.
