Trail description
A 7.2 km walk from the Piton de l'Eau car park, first on a forest track and then on a path, to the Piton de l'Eau (1887 m), whose volcanic crater holds a lake all year round. It lies in the heart of the Piton de la Fournaise massif, on the slopes of La Plaine-des-Palmistes.
