Trail description

A climb of about 7.4 km and 710 m from Hell-Bourg, one of the most beautiful villages of France, to the top of the Piton d'Anchaing, the forested rock in the middle of the cirque of Salazie. Legend says the escaped slave Anchaing took refuge on it; the steep path ends in cloud forest with views over the cirque.
