Trail description

La Coca Trail leaves PR-191 near La Coca Falls, where parking is limited, and drops about 230 m over 2.5 km through tabonuco forest to the Mameyes River. The Forest Service rates it very challenging: primitive, muddy and slippery, with fallen trees and three river crossings that are dangerous in a flash flood. More hikers get lost here than on almost any other El Yunque trail, so stay on the marked route.
