Trail description
The Guajataca Tunnel was built around 1904 for the northern railway between Quebradillas and Isabela and was declared a historic monument in 2000. From the tunnel, reached from Route 2, this flat 3.5 km walk follows the old railway line west along rocky cliffs above the sea, past boulder coves toward Playa Pelícano. The surf at Playa Guajataca beside the tunnel is powerful, so take care near the water.
