Trail description

A 15.6 km walk with about 540 m of climbing from Pitec up the long, gentle Quilcayhuanca valley past meadows and a ruined stone hut to Laguna Tullpacocha at about 4,300 m, below the glaciers of Tullparaju and Chinchey. Most walkers make it a two day trip there and back with a camp in the valley. A Huascarán National Park ticket is required.
