Chorro El Escondido (El Valle)

Trail description

A 3.6 km hike along the trails of Cerro de la India Dormida, passing by its viewpoint, to the Chorro El Escondido waterfall, overlooking El Valle de Antón. India Dormida owes its name to the mountain's silhouette, which resembles a woman lying on her back, and closes off the western side of the volcanic crater where El Valle is located. The forests surrounding the town are partly protected areas and one of the habitats of the Panamanian golden frog, an endangered endemic species.
