Trail description

A 3 km ascent from El Líbano, starting on a dirt road and continuing along trails to the summit and lookout of Cerro Chame, a volcanic dome approximately 525 m high in the Chame district, West Panama. The first part of the climb is shaded by trees, but from the halfway point, the trail is open and exposed to the sun, so it is advisable to start early. From the summit, there is a 360° view of the Pacific Ocean, Chame Bay, the inland mountains, and the Sajalices wetlands.
