Jebel Shams South Summit (W4)

Trail description

Ministry of Tourism route W4 starts at a marked rock beyond Sama Heights Resort on the Jebel Shams plateau and climbs to the south summit (2,997 m), the highest point open to hikers because the main summit carries a military installation. Outdooractive gives about 21 km and nearly 10 hours for the round trip with roughly 1,300 m of ascent, with views into Wadi Nakhur. Hikers report loose rock, waymarks that are easy to lose and no water on the route.
