Al Hamra to Misfat al Abriyeen (W9)

Trail description

Trekking route W9 from the old mud-brick town of Al Hamra up through the date gardens and over the rocky hillside to Misfat al Abriyeen, a terraced mountain village on the edge of the Jebel Akhdar massif, about 5 km and 330 m of climb. In Misfat the path follows the falaj, the stone water channel that feeds the village gardens; dress modestly and keep to the paths through the private terraces.
