Kamenjane Waterfalls

Trail description

The Kamenjanska river drops through a forested gorge above the village of Kamenjane, near Tetovo at the foot of Shar Mountain, in a chain of eight numbered waterfalls. From the village a track and then a path climb beside the stream with wooden stairs, bridges and railings on the steeper sections, passing an old watermill and benches at the falls. The seventh waterfall is the tallest at about 12.5 m. It is about 2 km and 380 m of ascent to the uppermost fall, most of it in the shade of dense forest; return the same way or loop back through the village of Jelovjane.
