Granada to Laguna de Apoyo Eastern Rim

Trail description

A walk from the Fortaleza La Pólvora in Granada west along a straight dirt road that climbs gently through several kilometres of farmland to the eastern rim of the Laguna de Apoyo crater. Walk to where the brick wall ends for a view over the whole lagoon; a rough foot path follows a ravine down to the water, where swimming is possible. There are no facilities on this side and the small parking area is not considered safe.
