Trail description
An out-and-back walk of 11.1 km with about 460 m of climbing from Gebbies Pass Road along the Packhorse Track, through farmland and forest on the slopes of Banks Peninsula, to the stone Packhorse Hut at Kaituna Pass. The hut was built as one of the rest houses of the Summit Road scheme and is now a DOC hut that must be booked for overnight stays.
