Mount Te Aroha from Te Aroha Domain

Trail description

From the back of the Te Aroha Domain, the historic spa gardens of the town, the Bald Spur Track climbs to the Bald Spur lookout and the Te Aroha Summit Track continues steeply up through forest to the summit of Mount Te Aroha (953 m), the highest point of the Kaimai Range. The walk is 7.3 km out and back with about 830 m of climbing on the same tracks. The upper track is steep, rooty and slippery when wet.
