Mount Sunday Track

Trail description

A short walk of 3.2 km out and back with about 80 m of climbing from Hakatere Potts Road in Hakatere Conservation Park, across the river flats to the top of Mount Sunday (611 m), a rocky knoll used as the site of Edoras in The Lord of the Rings films. From the top there are views up the Rangitata and Potts valleys to the Southern Alps.
