Mount Pureora Summit Track

Trail description

From Link Road in Pureora Forest Park the summit track climbs through dense podocarp and mountain forest to the top of Mount Pureora (1,165 m), the highest point in the park, with views to Lake Taupo and the volcanoes of Tongariro National Park on a clear day. The walk is 5.2 km out and back with about 360 m of climbing. The track is steep and muddy in places.
