Mont Mou, Païta

Trail description

A hard climb from a signed trailhead reached by the road from the Col de la Pirogue near Païta, climbing through rainforest rich in endemic birds and then mining scrub, to the 1,219 m summit of Mont Mou. The round trip is about 7.7 km and 4.5 hours. Mont Mou is a botanical nature reserve and dogs are forbidden to protect the ground-nesting cagou.
