Trail description
A 0.9 km out-and-back on the Ilperpad, the path behind the Ilperveld visitor centre on the Kanaaldijk at Landsmeer, which crosses the reed and ditches of the reserve on footbridges. The Ilperveld, owned by Landschap Noord-Holland, is a former brackish peat-meadow area with numerous ditches, reed margins and hundreds of floating peat islands; boats can be hired at the visitor centre from May to October. The reserve is open from sunrise to sunset and dogs are not allowed.
