Trail description
The north one of the four covered stairways (saungdan) on Mandalay Hill, northeast of the city centre, climbs to the Sutaungpyei Pagoda on the summit. The top looks over the old city walls and moat, Kuthodaw Pagoda and the Irrawaddy River; a motor road with a lift is the alternative.
