Trail description

A short, steep climb of about 2.3 km from Vieux Grand Port, on the south-east coast of Mauritius, up the lanes and the Lion Mountain track to the summit of Lion Mountain, the ridge shaped like a lying lion above the Grand Port bay. The upper ridge is narrow and rocky with some easy scrambling, and the top looks over the lagoon, Île de la Passe and the Bambous mountains.
