Sentier du Cap Salomon

Trail description

From Grande Anse d'Arlet this path climbs over Morne Baguidi through dry coastal forest to Cap Salomon, where the ruins of the powder magazine and barracks of a battery built in 1762 still stand; the battery guarded Grande Anse bay with Pointe Burgos until 1878. Wooden staircases lead down to the shore along the way. Bring water and sun protection and start early to avoid the midday heat.
