Crête des Abîmes

Trail description

This path climbs from the Les Abîmes area above Case-Pilote toward Savane Saint-Cyr, following an old trace reopened by a local hiking guide in 2015. It is well shaded except at the start, with mahogany, bois d'Inde, gommier, balisier and wild orchids, and it gives views of the Bay of Fort-de-France. The turn onto the old trail is easy to miss, and the wrong branch leads to a small farm water dam.
