Guttland Trail Mamerleeën

Trail description

Starting at the national Independence Monument, the Obelisk on the Krounebierg in Mersch, this 7.3 km loop with 205 m of climbing runs through forest to the Mamerleeën, sandstone caves and artificial tunnels extending over a thousand metres. The Huellee cave looks out to the keep of Schoenfels Castle, whose fortress dates from 1292, and the trail continues past the Hunnebur pond and through the small Wollefsgriecht gorge.
