Mūša Tyrelis Bog Trail

Trail description

Opened in 2015 in the Mūša Tyrelis telmological reserve, about 15 km south of Žagarė, this boardwalk entered the Lithuanian Book of Records as the longest plank trail across a bog. From a rest area with a shelter at the edge of the bog, the 3.3 km route passes an observation tower and Lake Miknaičiai toward the Tyrelis stone, a granite boulder carved with pagan signs near the source of the Mūša river. The trail is free, open around the clock and can be explored without a guide.
