Lebanon Mountain Trail Mtein to Falougha

Trail description

This Metn section of the Lebanon Mountain Trail begins in the village square of Mtein and crosses the upper valleys of the Beirut river, mostly on agricultural roads through pine forest, to Falougha. Along the way are the old bridge at Mchikha, the Roman bridge at Bzibdine, the serail in Qornayel, Second World War trenches and the Lamartine valley. It is about 12 to 15 km with some 750 to 900 m of ascent. Springs along the way sit under views of Jabal el Kneisseh.
