Lebanon Mountain Trail Hrajel to Kfardebian

Trail description

This Kesrouan section of the Lebanon Mountain Trail starts near Hrajel and the Chabrouh dam and crosses the broad valley below the ski resorts of Ouyoun el Simane and Faqra. A series of climbs and descents gives views of the high peaks to the east and, on a clear day, the Mediterranean to the west, and the trail passes the well preserved Roman temple of Faqra. It is about 10 to 12 km with some 400 to 550 m of ascent and ends among the small villages and fields of Kfardebian. The valley stays accessible in winter despite some snow.
