Trail description

This 6.2 km loop follows the educational trail of the Christmas Battles Museum at Mangaļi farm, tracing the attack route of the 1st Latvian Riflemen Brigade on 5 January 1917. Thirteen information boards point out WWI fortification remains, and the museum grounds show a reconstructed dugout and section of the German first line. Red numbered signs mark the way over forest rides and unaltered ground, which can be hard going with a pushchair; parking and a fire pit are at the museum.
