Milzkalns and Rauda Trail

Trail description

This 12.6 km loop near Tukums, with about 273 m of climbing, covers part of the Tukums tourist office's hilly Milzkalns and Rauda hiking route on forest roads, trails and dirt roads, which is not waymarked on the ground. Sights on the full route include Milzukalns, said in legend to be a giant's resting place, Rauda hill, the Āži hill viewpoint and the Draņķozols oak of local folk tales. Milzukalns nature park protects slope and ravine forests of linden, elm and ash.
