Jirisan Nogodan from Hwaeomsa

Trail description

A 6.2 km climb of about 1,170 m from Hwaeomsa, one of the great temples of Korea, up the Hwaeomsa valley and the steep Kojae slope to the Nogodan pass at 1,440 m on the main ridge of Jirisan. This is the old way up before the road reached Seongsamjae, and it is much harder than the walk from the car park. The boardwalk on from the pass to the Nogodan summit needs an advance reservation from the national park.
