Lirhanda Hill Kakamega Forest

Trail description

A 6.3 km walk through Kakamega Forest to the viewpoint on Lirhanda Hill, at 1,734 m, passing a bat cave just below the top. Kakamega is Kenya's only tropical rainforest, the last remnant of the Guineo-Congolian forest that once spanned the continent, and is home to 367 bird species and to blue, redtail and De Brazza's monkeys.
