Trail description

Jordan Trail section 304 (21.2 km, about 7 hours, rated difficult) is easy walking through wild, barren country, meeting remnants of the old Roman road from Jerusalem to Mukawir and crossing the upper Wadi Himara. The Roman road then winds down a spectacular descent to above the basalt-columned cliffs of the Zarqa Ma'in canyon, which a path crosses through the cliffs; Bedouin camps and shepherds are common along the way.
