As-Salt to Iraq Al-Amir

Trail description

Jordan Trail section 301 (22.9 km, about 7 hours, rated difficult) heads from the centre of As-Salt down the valley on tracks and country roads through small farms, then over the hills and down to the Hellenistic site of Iraq Al-Amir and its Copper Age caves. Much of the path is in shade on the west side of the hill if started early; Iraq Al-Amir has a women's craft cooperative and homestays.
