Elizabeth Castle Causeway Walk

Trail description

At low tide a causeway across the sands of St Aubin's Bay leads from West Park in St Helier to Elizabeth Castle on its tidal islet. The castle was built in the 16th century and was later fortified by the Germans in WWII. The causeway floods at high tide, so check the tide times before setting out; an amphibious ferry runs when it is covered.
