Mount Motchomu from Senpiro Falls

Trail description

Motchomudake, 940 m, is the granite dome above Senpiro Falls in the south of Yakushima. This out-and-back route climbs steeply from the Senpiro Falls car park through forest past the Bandai cedar to the bare rock summit, 4.9 km with about 790 m of climbing. The final section is steep rock, and the summit looks down to the sea.
