Black Head from Fanore

Trail description

A 5.8 km climb of about 300 m from Fanore Beach up an old green road and over bare limestone to Gleninagh Mountain (316 m), the summit of the Black Head massif at the north-western corner of the Burren. The top looks over Galway Bay to Connemara and the Aran Islands. The limestone pavement is rough and slippery when wet.
