Trail description

The classic route up Mount Sumbing, the second highest mountain in Central Java, from Garung on the Kledung pass through farmland and forest to the rocky crater rim at about 3,260 m. About 16.1 km out and back with some 1,930 m of climbing; most walkers take two days and camp below the summit. Register at the Garung basecamp.
