Trail description
A flat 1.3 km walk from Grófin by the old harbour through central Reykjavík, past the National Theatre, to the Sun Voyager on the Sæbraut shore. The steel sculpture by Jón Gunnar Árnason won a 1986 competition for a work marking the 200th anniversary of the city. The artist described it as a dreamboat, an ode to the Sun and a promise of undiscovered territory.
