Trail description
From the parking at the end of the Eldgjá track a path follows the floor of Eldgjá, a volcanic fissure about 40 km long, to Ófærufoss, a two-step waterfall that pours over the wall of the canyon. Eldgjá lies on the F208 highland road, which needs a 4x4 and is open in summer only.
