Trail description
From the Hverir geothermal field east of Mývatn, with its boiling mud pots and steaming vents, a path climbs onto the colourful Námafjall ridge. Stay on the marked path, as the ground near the vents is hot and can give way; the ridge looks over Mývatn and the Krafla area.
