Trail description
From the Bains Jaunes car park above Saint-Claude, this trail starts on the paved Pas du Roy path and branches off through humid forest, across several ravines, to the Galion river below the Chute du Galion, a 40 m waterfall carved into hardened lava at the foot of the Soufrière. After crossing the river it ends a few metres up the Trace de l'Armistice at the viewpoint on the fall; the last rocky metres to the foot of the fall need fixed ropes and are not part of this route. The river crossing is dangerous after rain, and the Savane à Mulets car park and its access road are closed because of rockfall risk.
