Trail description

This route climbs Mount Saint Catherine (840 m), Grenada's highest peak and a heavily weathered volcano, from the east: a steep track through farmland, then a forest path to the summit, 4.1 km one way with about 640 m of climbing. The path is not regularly maintained, so expect thick overgrowth, deep mud, razor grass, fallen trees and steep root sections, and avoid it after rain. The summit has an antenna and is often in cloud; hiring a local guide is advisable.
