Grand Etang Lake Shoreline Trail

Trail description

This 2.1 km loop circles Grand Etang, a crater lake at about 600 m in Grand Etang National Park, starting from the visitor centre and returning partly on the road. The path often stays back from the shore but gives glimpses of the lake and the Mount Qua Qua ridge, through palm brake and mahogany forest home to Mona monkeys. A small park entry fee is charged, and the trail is often muddy, windy and in cloud, so bring a rain jacket.
