Pingu Summit Trail (Kapisillit)

Trail description

From the cemetery in Kapisillit, near the harbour, this blue-marked route climbs straight up Pingu to a summit of about 490 m with a 360 degree view over the fjord and the Kangersuneq Ice Fjord; Visit Nuuk rates it demanding. Kapisillit has no road link to Nuuk, so you arrive by boat or helicopter. Only attempt it when there is no snow or ice, and do not hike alone or rely on a mobile phone.
