Lyngmarksfjeldet (Qeqertarsuaq, Disko Island)

Trail description

The blue-marked route leaves the outskirts of Qeqertarsuaq and climbs steeply to the mountains behind town toward the Lyngmark Glacier, a strenuous full day according to Visit Greenland; this line gains about 790 m in 4.5 km. From Lyngmarksfjeld there is a panoramic view over Disko Bay, with the icebergs off Ilulissat visible almost 100 km away. A lodge at the foot of the glacier makes an overnight stay possible.
