Trail description

Starting past Old Camp on the road toward Kellyville, an obvious track runs along the foot of the hill past fuel tanks and the outline of Greenland's 1928 airstrip to the Fossil Plain, a raised marine terrace with fossil clams 7,000 to 8,000 years old. Hiking.gl rates it easy. Do not remove fossils, stay on the raised beds because of possible quicksand in the river valley, and carry no naked flame near the fuel tanks.
