Black Ridge Trail (Kangerlussuaq)

Trail description

This easy hike near Kangerlussuaq climbs Black Ridge, which hiking.gl calls the best view over the settlement, taking in the airstrip, the fjord, Sugarloaf Mountain and the distant Ice Sheet from a platform with built-in binoculars. The usual approach follows the road past the cemetery toward the Tacan radar station to the Black Ridge sign. Water is scarce, so carry a full bottle and a mosquito head net.
